Our firm
Independent counsel. Enduring relationships.
Halvard Advisors was founded on a simple conviction: that the best financial advice comes from advisors who are fully aligned with their clients — not with products, platforms, or quarterly targets.
Our story
Halvard Advisors was established to serve a specific kind of client: one who has built something meaningful and wants thoughtful, independent counsel to protect and grow it across generations.
We are a fee-only, independent advisory firm. We do not earn commissions, sell proprietary products, or manage assets on behalf of institutions. Our only obligation is to our clients.
Over the years, we have advised founders through liquidity events, helped families navigate complex estates, and guided executives through career transitions and capital decisions. Each engagement has deepened our conviction that great advice is built on trust, patience, and genuine understanding.
What guides us
Independence
We are beholden to no institution, product, or platform. Our advice is shaped entirely by your interests.
Long-term thinking
We measure success in decades, not quarters. Every recommendation is made with your long-term trajectory in mind.
Transparency
We explain our reasoning, disclose our fees, and tell you what we honestly believe — even when it's not what you want to hear.
Selectivity
We work with a limited number of clients so every relationship receives the depth of attention it deserves.

Our investment philosophy
We believe that wealth preservation and growth are not in conflict — they require the same discipline: patience, diversification, and a clear-eyed view of risk.
We are skeptical of complexity for its own sake. Most clients are best served by portfolios that are straightforward to understand, cost-efficient, and aligned with their actual time horizons and risk tolerance.
We do not chase performance. We construct portfolios designed to compound steadily over long periods — and we resist the temptation to react to short-term noise.
"Patience. Precision. Partnership."
We work with a select number of clients to ensure every relationship receives the attention it deserves.
